Section 03

Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) & Telecom-Specific Data

Regulatory Notice

As a telecommunications carrier, Line Bros LLC is subject to 47 U.S.C. § 222 and FCC regulations governing Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI). CPNI protections apply in addition to any other rights described in this policy.

What Is CPNI?

CPNI is information related to the telecom services you purchase from us, including: the quantity, technical configuration, type, and destination of calls you make; the amount and type of data you use; and information contained in your bills. CPNI does not include your name, address, or telephone number.

How We Use CPNI

We use your CPNI only as permitted by federal law, including to:

  • Provision, maintain, repair, and bill for your telecom services;
  • Protect you and other subscribers from fraud, theft of service, and unauthorized access;
  • Respond to emergency services or lawful government requests;
  • Market additional services in the same service category you already subscribe to (e.g., offering an upgraded data plan to a current data subscriber), subject to your opt-out right below.

Your CPNI Opt-Out Right

You have the right to restrict our use of your CPNI for marketing purposes beyond your existing service type. To opt out, email privacy@linebros.com with the subject line "CPNI Opt-Out" or call our customer support line. Your opt-out will be honored within 30 days and remains effective until you affirmatively rescind it.

Call Recording Disclosure

Certain support and sales calls may be recorded for quality assurance, training, or dispute resolution. Where required by law, we will announce recording at the start of the call. Recorded calls are stored securely and accessible only to authorized personnel.

Law Enforcement & Emergency Requests

We may disclose subscriber data and call records to law enforcement agencies pursuant to valid legal process (subpoena, court order, or warrant) or in exigent circumstances involving imminent risk to life. We will notify affected customers of such disclosures to the extent permitted by law.

Section 04

Utility Service Data

Where Line Bros LLC provides electric, gas, water, or other utility services, we collect and process utility consumption data including meter readings, interval usage data, outage information, and service restoration records. This data is used to:

  • Calculate and issue accurate bills;
  • Detect meter tampering or theft of service;
  • Plan infrastructure maintenance and grid reliability;
  • Comply with state PUC reporting requirements;
  • Offer energy efficiency programs and demand-response initiatives (with your consent).

Smart Meter & Interval Data

If your premises are equipped with an advanced metering infrastructure (AMI / "smart meter") device, we collect interval usage data (typically at 15-minute or hourly intervals). This granular data may reveal household activity patterns. We implement heightened protections for interval data and will not share it with third parties except: (a) as required by your state PUC; (b) to support demand-response programs you have enrolled in; or (c) with your explicit written consent.

State Utility Privacy Notice

Some states impose additional restrictions on utility customer data sharing. If you are a customer in a state with a specific utility privacy law, those protections apply and take precedence where they are more protective than this policy.
